Who would have ever thunk? I've been playing with some very basic html and have managed to make an html page that says hello world, an html page that some different colors with some nonsense text in differing sizes and colors and an html page that has a number of ordered, unordered and definition lists. All I can say is thank goodness for Sandvox. Things like these would certainly become quite tedious if everything had to be done in html. However, I can see where sometimes where if you wanted to get very custom with something you are doing, html may be the way to go. I'm having fun with it for now. It has sidetracked me from getting up the rest of the site. However for those of you that don't know html and would like to know more, I downloaded several free podcasts from itunes to get me started. The one I'm using for starters is from the university of new mexico and is very very basic stuff…. but just my speed! :)
As for the rest of the day, we went to the farmers market. I was real disappointed that we did not get any plots today. I've become addicted to those little gems. We will have to run over to Jack London Square tomorrow and check out their farmers market. We didn't get much today as everything was pretty picked over by the time we got there. There is one little stand that has killer green beans. We got some carrots with the tops still on. Figured Alyssa's hamster may enjoy some fresh greens.
I'm glad to see from the links at the top of this page that not all blog links are going to show at the top of this page. Looks like just the main blog link and my last entry show. When going to my main blog page it looks like it turns my blog into one very long running narrative. uh oh. going to get pretty lengthy before I even get the site online. Guess this blog should be titled "putting up a website for the uninitiated". I'll have to look into things on how to break it up or let comments by readers be sent as I get nearer to pushing this site out.
